What you should know about moving your mobile home:
Typical Transport Cost:
Price may vary depending on several factors
-
Single Wide - $3,500
-
Double Wide - $7,000
-
Triple Wide - $10,500
Type of Services:
Transport - This service is in fact only the hook up, transport, and drop off of the mobile home sections. It doesn't include the teardown or set up discussed on this page.
Typical Teardown Cost:
Prices vary due to things such as porches, add on rooms, obstructions for removal, type of foundation, etc. A "pit set" foundation is typically more expensive to tear down.
-
Single wide - $1,500 - $2,000
-
Double wide - $3,500 - $6,500
-
Triple wide- $7,000 - $9,000
Type of Service:
Teardown - This is the act of physically prepping the home for removal. This includes removal of decks, awnings, skirting and tie downs. Also included is separating the home sections if it is a double or triple wide. When a manufactured home is installed very close to ground level, making it look more like a site-built home, it has a “pit set” foundation. Because access to the bottom structure of the mobile home is necessary for maintenance and ventilation, a shallow pit must be dug under the footprint of the home.
Typical Set-up Cost:
Prices vary depending of material costs, difficulty of placement etc.
-
Single Wide - $1,500- $2,500
-
Double Wide - $3,500 - $5,000
-
Triple Wide - $6,500 - $9,000
Type of Service:
Hard Set-Up: This is the Blocking, Leveling and Tiedowns of the home. If it has multiple sections it will be married back together and lag bolts will be installed as well as frame bolts. The home will be blocked, leveled and tied down. This service does not include decks, porches, skirting, power, water, tape and texture inside marriage line, etc.
